Not able to adopt but still want to help our animals? Maybe fostering would work for you.

If you think fostering is an option for you, please call and talk to our Shelter Manager for further information:

Beacon is always looking for responsible, animal loving people who are willing to open up their homes and hearts on an as-needed basis.

Your help may mean the difference between life and death for a needy cat or dog.

Since we are such a small organization, fostering animals allows us to extend a lifeline to those animals who, for various reasons, may not thrive at Beacon. Some may be orphans who need bottle feeding and around the clock care until they are old enough to be adoptable, some may need extra socialization or have medical reasons that require more time than can be given by our staff.  Sometimes a lack of space is simply the issue.
